Big Bock Physical Therapy is a locally owned physical therapy practice in Morehead City, North Carolina. Our clinic features state-of-the-art equipment with caring therapists who create personalized programs to improve their patient’s health and wellbeing. Big Rock Physical Therapy takes pride in working closely with their patients and local physicians to create the best outcomes. We accept most major insurance carriers. We do not accept Medicaid at this time.
Our hands-on approach provides services that examine and treat immediate problems. We then teach patients how to use their bodies properly in order to gain strength and mobility and to prevent future injuries. We utilize evidence-based treatment protocols that are both objective and measurable. We are committed to educating our patients so that they understand their personal treatments.

Meet Our Team
Dr. Scott Murray
Big Rock Physical Therapy is founded and led by Dr. Scott Murray who has been a Licensed Physical Therapist for over 2 years in Morehead City. He has worked closely with many surgeons and physicians in the area to restore patients’ health and well-being. Scott holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from The College of William & Mary and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Radford University.
Terra Shank
Big Rock Physical Therapy is co-founded with Terra Shank who has an extensive history with the healthcare system in Carteret County. She has worked in the past as the Director of Medical, Surgical and Orthopedic Nursing Services at Carteret General Hospital and has a background in health insurance reimbursement, bookkeeping, personnel management and scheduling with outpatient physical therapy practice. Terra has lived in Carteret County for 30+ years and has a close connection with numerous doctors and physicians in the area.
