Needling Work
Physical therapists utilize dry needling to reduce myofascial restrictions and pain secondary to trigger points. Trigger points are “knots” or areas of muscle tissue restrictions that are tender to touch and can cause pain in the surrounding areas. A very thin needle is pushed through the skin into the trigger point to release the tight muscle bands and decrease the associated pain.

PHYSICAL EFFECTS
The term ‘dry’ comes from the fact that it uses fine short needles that do not inject anything into the body. The medical practitioner inserts these needles in targeted muscular areas with trigger points.

RELAXES MUSCULAR PAIN
Dry Needling will stimulate the muscles and lead to a reduction in pain and inflammation.

FLOW OF OXYGEN & bLood
Tight muscles restricts the flow of blood and oxygen that can be cured through needling.

STIFFNESS REDUCTION
Trigger Points create knots that results into stiffness which can be resolved deactiviting it with dry needling.

ACTIVATES BODY MOTION
Dry needling can also help when it comes to improving range of motion.

FAST RECOVERY
It also helps speed up the healing process, leading to a shorter recovery period.

ENHANCEMENT
Tight muscles restricts the flow of blood and oxygen that can be cured through needling.

Benefits of Dry Needling
This helps release tension and tight muscle bands, ultimately reducing pain and improving muscle function. The process initiates the body's natural healing response, increasing blood flow and promoting the release of pain-fighting chemicals.
